Lessons for the most important dance of your life!

Lessons - Weddings

Imagine being at your reception on the dance floor surrounded by friends and family. The music is about to start. Are you ready? You will be!

Be prepared

Learn to dance comfortably and confidently for your special day! Whether you just want a few basic steps so you don't embarrass yourself, or you want your guests to gasp in amazement, we can get you there.

Be relaxed

Our instructors are friendly, competent, and know how to teach, not just how to dance. They don't try to sell you, or talk you into anything. They don't try to convince you that you should learn other dances. What they do, is have you feeling comfortable from the moment you step onto the floor. You'll see our instructors know what they're talking about, and they can teach you to dance to anything. They will have you learning quickly and correctly. Learning to dance is different from school, you are not graded, only taught, and it's fun. We'll show you how to look good. We teach the women to dance beautifully (and sexy too!) and teach the men to look manly.
And best of all, you'll look forward to your dance instead of dreading it. You will have a good dance, just leave it to us.

How we teach

Your first lesson is free so you can see what it's like to learn to dance. Starting on your free lesson you'll be dancing right away, we hold nothing back! You'll learn some basics, then we immediately begin choreographing the dance. Even basic courses have a beautiful entrance and exit on and off the floor. We discuss your schedule, assess your learning ability, take into account what you would like to invest, and calculate exactly what you will need to learn to be perfectly prepared. Your dance is our  reputation. We are truly experts, and take into account things that only a studio that specializes in this specific field would know. We have a system, and it works

.

Special Features:

Video: Every other lesson we'll video your dancing so you can clearly see what you look like. We'll even email them to you if you like. It's like reality TV!

Practice Perfect: Use our crinolines and experience the variety of tools and methods only we use to help ensure a comfortable dance and error-free performance!

There are no contracts. You pay as you go. You take the lesson, and then pay for it, and if you wish, schedule another one. The lessons are 40 minutes long (that is how long you can absorb instruction for before needing a break,) and our prices are per couple NOT per person!.

Your first free lesson is a full lesson, and you will be dancing. Your progress is supervised by a manager, and each lesson is carefully recorded in your own personal course planner, and planned in advance. Your dancing is our responsibility.

Wedding couples also get customized choreography for their dance that fits their music, they get to choose an entrance onto the floor, and an exit off the floor. We video lessons from time to time so you can see your progress. Your music is edited to be longer, shorter, or rearranged. You can practice with our crinolines, and longer courses receive choreography in addition to our normal (and superior) methods of teaching dance! By the end of your course you will know exactly what to do and when to do it!

FAQ's

We have the answers to what you want to know:

Q: When should we start?
A: Do it now. If we could make people come in as soon as they got engaged we would. Then nothing would be rushed and every dance would be like a work of art. But I know, put it off. Fine. Minimum 3 weeks before the wedding. 3 months is better. If you want a big dance you'll need more time. If you want a small dance, you'll still want to come in early to make it easy on yourselves. Coming in early does not mean you need to take six months worth of lessons to get the basics. It just means that you'll give your body more time to get smooth. Trust me, as you approach the wedding day things will get hectic. You can schedule a lot of things at the last minute, but you'll want to learn how to dance ahead of time. You wouldn't want to take piano lessons the day before the concert.

Q: How long will it take?
A: That depends on how many lessons you take per week, how good you want to be, and your learning ability. On your free lesson, we'll be able to answer this question specifically.

Q: How may lessons should we take?
A: This is a question that can be better answered on the free lesson, because of differences in learning ability, but we'll give you a ballpark estimate:

Survive (a nice basic dance): ~ 4 to 6 lessons
Thrive (lots of oohs and ahhs from the crowd): ~ 10 to 12 lessons
Impress (they'll be talking about this dance for a while): ~ 15+ lessons
The stars wish the could dance like YOU!: 25+ lessons
You'll want the camera rolling for all of these dances!

Q: We're not getting married until next year. Should we start now?
A: Yes, at least the first free lesson. It's important to take it as soon as possible so you see what it's like to learn to dance. Then you can make and intelligent decision whether you want to continue dancing, space out your lessons, or wait until you're closer to your wedding date to come in. Until you actually come in, you won't know what it's like. When people see how fun it is to learn to dance, and that they can do it, they always wish they had come in sooner.

Q: Help! We're getting married this weekend, and I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DANCE!!

A: Oooo, that is cutting it close. As I've mentioned, the more time you have, the better.  Still, tremendous improvements can be made in your dancing after even just  one lesson. You won't learn a lot of steps, but you'll definitely look better than just rocking side to side for 4 minutes. Just don't expect the moon, the sun, and the stars, okay?

Q: Do we need to have music picked out? Can we use any music?
A: Hey, one question at a time! You don't need to have music picked out. We'll teach you how to dance, and then sync it up to music later. What music can you use? ANY MUSIC YOU WANT. This is your big day, choose a song that means something to you. We can teach you to dance to ANYTHING. If you haven't got any ideas, you can go to our links page and in the Websites section, you'll find a link for wedding-related music.
